People believe they know who they are… until life corners them with a choice.
A choice between staying loyal to their ethics or abandoning them to do what feels necessary.
So what truly drives a person,
morality,
or necessity?
I’ve always been fascinated by the way people justify their actions.
Not because they are evil,
but because circumstances reshape what they believe is acceptable.
A desperate person can become dangerous.
A moral person can become cruel.
And sometimes, necessity wears the mask of righteousness.
My upcoming book, Selective Sinners, explores what happens when necessity begins to outweigh morality.
When people are pushed far enough, they don’t always break.
Sometimes…
they adapt.
And that adaptation can be terrifying.
